Scott Oliphint is teaching Apologetics for RTS, and we had our first meeting today. It was rockin’. He represents a pretty consistent Van Tillianism that is right in keeping with what I was introduced to years ago. He is also very capable at addressing high-octane academic issues. I was impressed with his handling of postmod questions and his knowledge of classic theology proper.
When he invoked simplicity to lay the smack down on Gordon Clark, I near bout teared up.
Excellent stuff.
I heard Clark say this one time that Aristotle and Jesus were fishin’ buddies, and that Aristotle was like, best friends with God.
