SW, really interesting stuff in that response to Hart. This is really not my area of expertise but I think you’re right on the Reformers, and I’m intrigued by the way you’ve opened up a link to natural law (now that’s really not my area of expertise). Are you up on O’Donovan?
Yes, I’ve read a bit of O’Donovan. As I understand it, O’Donovan wants to serve as a bridge between the classical Protestant view (or at least something close to that) and post-modern political theologies like Radical Orthodoxy. Brad Littlejohn is actually studying under O’Donovan now and can fill us in on the particulars. I mostly appreciate O’Donovan for the historical work and find his From Irenaeus to Grotius to be immensely valuable.
